Off topic - why do scabs itch so much if we're not supposed to pick them? #asknostr
It's the increased blood flow to an area with hardened, contracted skin, and nerve tissue. It causes the scabbing process to accelerate and the nerve tissue gets moved and compressed causing the itching.
