Now, if only the terminology would get corrected to “sats” in the new Square stuff. It’s been that way in CashApp, and everywhere else. We understand dollars and cents just fine and can just as easily understand bitcoins are sats. In both cases, x number of the latter make up one of the former.

@miles @jack for the last several years we have been explaining sats to our fiat friends. Let’s make sure it says ‘sats’ somewhere during checkout since a lot of them have the basic understanding that sats are like cents of dollar. What is the point of confusing normies? I don’t want to have to explain to them every time that Square POS labeling is weird. The amount of human time we are going to waste on this is gong to be ridiculous. These will obviously be doxxed KYC'd Nostr accounts (at least within your database) but it seems like providing Merchants a means of communicating with their Consumers (perhaps thru NIP17 protocols as Bitchat does) could be a powerful add-on feature for your existing userbase!
This would then enable us all to find and send Zaps to anyone/everyone that has a CashTag.
