I’ve been a Brooks maxi for a long time, all terrains, trails or roads. Currently have the Ghosts which are great, but I don’t notice that big of a difference between that and the other models.

Fo running specificly? Well that I do think depends a lot also on where will you go to run amd what kind of weather condition.
I did used the PRIMUS LITE IV ALL WEATHER, but maybe you would like a pair with a bit thicker sole..
Brooks. I've been using them and they haven't killed me yet. I have last fall and so far this spring as experience. Oh and zero comparisons to other brands have been done. Trust my science.

I got no complaints about my Skechers. Been wearing a single pair of them for 5 years for all-purposes including running and they still got another 5 in them I think.
vivobarefoot... go slow if not used to barefoots

Marketing BS aside Nike are the best running shoes. Though totally understand if folks don’t want to give them their hard earned sats.
Nike free run series has always been my go-to for running. I like them because they’re light and flexible.
+1 barefoot style. quit fucking up your knees with heel strikes and wear Vivo Barefoot
