K33P UP THE GREAT WORK JACK. 👁️🤟

👁️CÜ

Why aren’t there more options?

Not much incentive probably. There's no money in it.

Good point

There could be if people wouldn't shitcoining and playing with other useless blockchains. It's sad how much talent we lost in the noise.

Lol because no one cares to look into btcd or the rest, and how would a node implementation make money?

Yeah I hear ya but perhaps a billionaire or early adopter doesn’t need a financial incentive. Also seems after a quick search that btcd had a fatal flaw

But the rise in knots use is a strong signal that core needs to work on its public relations and signalling to keep its user’s trust and keep them onside.

Jury is out on this one… but collectivism isn’t a path to freedom. Spam sounds like a bad idea. 👎

Jack is an idiot. Imagine shilling so hard saying “if Bitcoin isn’t used for payments it will die”

Then TURNING OFF BITCOIN PAYMENTS at millions of his company Square point of sale machines.

Turns out you can be a Bitcoin billionaire and still be a loser.

I’m hearing you, I’m sure he has his reasons operating with in the matrix but if he is a true Bitcoiner he will appreciate our logic!

I mean now is the time to enable Bitcoin payments. The president loves Bitcoin.

They had it working before and then disabled them so just turn it back on

Yes I agree mate does raise questions 4 sure! But we know what they say and do can be two different things…

Pay attention to things that don’t make sense which is what you are doing

So Open Source means you fund OpenSats/Core and Bitcoin Knots/OCEAN/DATUM? The issue is it's a Open communication issue. Open Discord. Open Discussion. That's how you get to Open Source adoption. Right now it's Lord of the Bitcoin Flies with the two camps.

Very true.

And they don't hear each other argues, they just keep their position straightly.

Not sure they really read all the posts :

That post has zero examples of these so called “claims” except something that appears to be a joke from Luke.

Murch is obviously smart enough to understand all this and he also knows exactly what knots is, but instead he is trying his hand at psychological manipulation with statements such as “knots appears to be developed by a single developer”

-Murch knows exactly what knots is, so he is being deliberately dishonest.

Please stop brainlessly cheerleading this infantilism Jack.

Here is Luke himself claiming it. There have also been quite a few interactions I’ve had myself with individuals claiming it. https://www.erisian.com.au/bitcoin-core-dev/log-2024-05-02.html#l-573

Here is a thread where a popular “educational” thread on knots claims that knots has 6 maintainers. The author disagrees with me but eventually concludes that Luke can’t be “the 6th maintainer”… and then uses some other vague way of trying to describe it.

Point being, many people are claiming really odd and untrue things. It’s important that people make an educated decision about the code they run.

The guy literally explained it to you in the Twitter thread.

It’s a play on words- where Luke is 1 extra dev compared to the core software which is 99.99% of knots.

No one is claiming knots is more reviewed or maintained better than core.

And also arguing about this is infantile and since Core repeatedly said:

“go run knots if you don’t like what we do”

It only serves to throw the last of Core’s public relation credibility into the shredder.

Oh I agree it’s a stupid conversation, but here we are because people like yourself are pretending this comparison (that the OP is trying to clarify) isn’t happening.

Luke in literally the first line. It’s not a play on words.

You claimed there were no examples, I provided some. You can say it’s not important, but you can’t say the thing Murch is addressing is not happening.

If knots is such a terrible unsafe implementation, why have the Core devs been encouraging everyone to "just use other software like knots" if we do not like their proposed changes?

Core did nothing as Bitcoin UTXO set went exponential due to ordinal trash spamming the network for years now. We need more soft forks of core. Anyone can help Knots.

What are your thoughts on the spam issue? Or pls point me in the right direction if you’ve already addressed it, thanks 🙏

oh. well now that THAT's clear.... 🤪🤤😏

Why Jack?
