What is a reasonable rate for an open source dev to ask for donations?
Once per month? Quarter? Never?
Every time he needs..? Or setting maybe a target, that also could be monthly/quarter etc..

I like the target idea. Shows thought on the dev side to manage his/her costs & profits.
Feels more project related too.
