I have had encounters like that IRL with people insisting that shitcoins are “more advanced” and “have more features” than Bitcoin, which is old and outdated. No-coiners are even worse. Last time I chimed in at a summer BBQ at which Bitcoin came up, some genius insisted that Satoshi came up with some secret formula that makes it all work, and if he comes back and reveals the formula, money gone. My halfhearted explanation of SHA-256 was ignored. All very tiresome.

What is wrong about Solana? Energy efficient cheap transactions. Huge number of Apps that are developed on this blockchain. Good criticism please. But really just if it is verifiable critisism. I do not want to read no opinions.
From a tech and decentralized apps i can see a use case but the entire chain going down for scheduled or emergency maintenance is a hard pass for money or even a currency.
-Validators control the chain based on proof of stake
-It can have uses as a software tool but it's still a blockchain with an off switch
I spent 2 years speaking to anyone who would listen that solana and algorand were superior to bitcoin and watched my wealth drop.
