Is google or google bard right? Should we factor in leap years?

Discussion
Factor them in. That’s days lived. They all count.
yes, if we're going for the general age count in years we use the schedule as is and that includes leap years
i think
I think yes 🤔
Leap years would only add one day per leap year to the total number of days. Bard is doing some wacky math.
Agreed that 12*366 makes no sense.
Bard's calculation is hilariously wrong, it double-counts the entire leap years, and does not take into account the August-November shift. Twelve leap days are chump change in comparison
Neither
you were 24 when i was born, that’s crazy. do you remember what you were up to in 2000? we’re you still in stl?
Lol just yesterday I referenced an album that I was listening to in the 2000’s to a younger crowd and the age difference suddenly hit us.
It was this album by the way
(Pretty profetic lyrics now that I listen back)

My grandmother had a friend born on a leap day. She would give her age in number of leap days celebrated. I thought it was hilarious as a kid.
Like the quote it’s not the number of years lived but the life within those years. Same with days. Moments of being present are so much more important.
The years/birthdays distinction was a plot point in The Pirates of Penzance, you may recall.
Haven’t seen it. Now I feel like I should.
Will watch
I watched it. My personal opinion is that you could happily live your life skipping it.
The trailer makes it look like a wild ride
Are you talking about the 1983 film adaptation? That was pretty good.
I think the trailer I watched was for the 1980 tv movie. I’ve just started the 1983 film. Both have Kevin Kline in them. How many versions are there?!
This is the answer I get with Python
from datetime import datetime, timedelta
bday = datetime(1976, 11, 19)
today = datetime.today()
(today - bday).days
# 17,081
correct.
