Apropos of nothing, I think part of the reason I'm more comfortable sharing random things on nostr over Twitter (despite the inability to delete) is that there's this palpable but unspoken "agreement" that all of us on here are trying something new and organically respecting others' "journey" as well.

There are no rules or "positioning."

OR perhaps without algorithmic manipulation we're inclined to be more authentic?

I don't think out loud on Twitter. I (admittedly) fuel the rage machine at times.

On nostr, I'm sitting in a freezing pool on a 96 degree day contemplating my social media behavior and trying to decide if I'm annoying or if I even care, regardless.

WHAT A TIME TO BE ALIVE 🔥💦

I agree with this sentiment 100%. Ironically, Twitter felt the same way in the beginning: a fresh new network, “microblogging” changing the face of media, a lot of talking about the platform and it’s implications on the platform and the beauty of 140 characters. Once it became mainstream, though, it changed into what it is today: a cesspool of rage tweets, ads, and bots.
