shower thought on nostr spam:
app that subscribes to relays for kind:1. builds up a NIP-51 mute list based on heuristic spam detection, manual flagging, etc.
users one-click clone & publish list as their own. potential NIP-26/nsecbunker integration to auto sync mute list.
does it blend?
one property of this approach is spam would be delivered to the client and muted there.
pro: clients like damus show you a comment is muted, so no shadow banning.
con: spam still being delivered
I suppose there is nothing stopping relays from using this mute list to filter out spam entirely. 🤔
