You can neutralize it with a base. But I don't really worry about it. I just dilute it and spread it out. It's just sulphur, oxygen and hydrogen. Our soil has lots of calcium carbonate in it which neutralizes it. I've tried using it as a dissicant spray to kill weeds with little effect.

We have meat rabbits and so far have just been composting the furs, which seems like a waste. I don't quite have the bandwidth to start working with them yet, but that pickling solution question had been bugging me.

Now that you've resolved that for me, it's time to start saving the skins! Then I'll have several when I'm ready to tackle a new project.
