This has been my experience with making homemade pasta sauce for non-italians. The first time you have homemade red sauce when you lived on Ragu, it's a game changer.

On the list. Not yet. Been mostly carnivore this winter. Mostly.

Understandable, the redsauce with braised short ribs is probably a fine minor diversion from pure carni.

I made an anchiovie-based white sauce over the weekend that would go well with fish too.

Many thanks!! We gon' be saucin'!!

Soemtimes I like to use the braised short ribs as the appetizer. I'll debone and shred and put them on crustini's with a little sauce

Yum.

Agree πŸ’―

I can say the same for pizza dough and pie crusts. Idk, it's just better than store bought stuff.

My goal is to be my grandpa and make shit the right way forever. Everytime I look at my son I think wow I wish he got to meet him, he looks a lot like that side of my family. I came out like a pastey toehead because of my dad's strong genes. But my son looks like a real sicilian

πŸ˜„ Love it.

Apart from living pretty close to Italy, I did date an Italian who taught me a lot of the old and traditional tricks. I give credit for that. It made my cooking a lot better.

We take it pretty seriously. Sometimes so serious it's kind of funny.

Bread has been the big one here. Sourdough bread 🀌🀀.
