Looks like Cashu tokens are probably the easiest?

Custodial, might as well use mints and no other third party.

LNURLW is pretty simple too

Thanks I’ll check it out

It’s best if you run your own node to deliver those, LNBits has a great plugin https://youtu.be/TUmsHpJtveQ

Try nostr:npub13qv9uflfdn70c0zcccju7uxymwn407xjax4he2uq75qj5dp7klfqt74rrf, you can always revoke them later if nobody claims them.

The problem with tipping bitcoin is that you have to explain so much to pre-coiners that in my experience, 99% won't claim the tip. I ended up adding instructions and disclaimers about the tip expiring so I could claw it back after 3 months. I didn't claw it back in years but seeing 99% not getting claimed is really frustrating. But it was a touch point for those people, most of which I only saw once in my life, so I will never know.

Where will they spend the ecash they pick up?

For now, I can only think of Rumble, as they will be enabling bitcoin tipping from December.

Most people probably haven't heard of either Rumble or Nostr, but Rumble is better known

eCash wallets all support some lightning bridges.

I know. The question still stands though. When a newbie has a tiny amount of bitcoin, what are they going to do with it?

I remember how excited I was to send my first zap. I want our newbies to have a similar "aha!" moment, where they can easily spend it within seconds of getting it

There are many things you can buy for a tip sized amount. ppq.ai for example.

Ah yes. I didn't know about ppq.ai. Thanks for suggesting it

https://cashu-brrr-two.vercel.app/ will allow you to do this. It even supports a “download QRs only” that way you can just print the QR codes.

Great idea

I think it would be good to print a note on the stickers that says: Pay in stores with the sign “Bitcoin accepted here” ... or something similar.

I had something like that in mind as AR, but there are too many pitfalls.

(Still, I think the idea is really cool.)
