A few months back. I stacked some sats in an Alby account with the intention of moving them to an on-chain wallet that I had set up.

I put it off and now can't figure out the wallet that I had set up (it has a a bunch of restore options that don't make sense). Meanwhile, the Alby extension on Tor keeps going in circles, and asking me to create an unlock passcode.

I feel like I tossed my money into a fire.

I forgot to write the password down tried to set up a new alby with another email and ended up working out how to get the old one working again! Can't remember why it was such an unintuitive faff to restore it but I gave a few days came at it with a fresh set of eyes and eventually worked it out. Hope you work your out too!

My second loop through their process worked. I still don't know what's up with the on-chain wallet I set up.

I don't think there's anything in it, but now I'm suspicious about ANY wallet, since the pitch is "you only need to remember 12 words", and that's not working here. Or, am I going about it all wrong?

I am mostly suspicious of anything not on the mainchain. Had no problems recovering that before. Still willing to use newer things and accept a potential loss if things go wrong but I wouldn't trust it.
