I’m of the opinion that many young people who disrespectfully demand you do this or say this have never really been punched in the face.

I mean a good, square shot, with both feet planted, and hips swiveled.

When you have been punched in the face as a consequence of not correctly estimating or respecting your surroundings it has a tendency to cause you to be more reflective in the future.

More reflection is generally a good thing.

The sooner the better. That lesson should be learned quick. It don't take a whole face punch to understand that either.

It's a very effective reality check šŸ˜‚

Literally learned this in grade 3, my one short stint at being a bully ended instantly.

Years ago, I used to get significantly drunk every night. One particular night, I was going to "the next bar", when I should have been heading home, and started to cross a street near an alley way. I don't remember exactly what I was mad about, but it had been a bad day, and I was pissed off.

Then this young dork jumps right in front of me, and said something antagonistic. I grabbed him, with an open blade in my other hand, when a female started repeating, "It's a joke! We're so sorry!"

I held onto him for a while, just to make sure it wasn't a trick. I think he nearly pissed his pants. I let him go and told him he's an idiot for not learning who he's dealing with. I'm sure he still remembers.

Yeah but, if that went a little bit to the left, he could be dead, and you could be in prison. Which is a very extended punch in the face.

Definitely
