I’m putting together a list of Lightning wallets to recommend to customers who visit nostr:npub1key55ax33gkl50uqemvl4khrtqrhzm7wzpc7fhseutt5ddkcwcrqgxlt3h and want to learn how to buy a beer at the bar. ⚡️🍺
Requirement 1: It needs to be easy to set up for someone with minimal bitcoin knowledge, or has experience with crypto but never used Lightning before
Requirement 2: It needs to work without a VPN in New York (and the US in general) – this means NO Strike, Cash App, ZBD, Primal, Phoenix, WoS, etc.
This is a surprisingly hard list to write.

It’s so true. Not only that but very likely bitcoin was mostly developed in the United States. We already know that the concept of a hashed blockchain (timechain) was created at Bell Labs in Morristown, New Jersey.
#Bitcoin was probably a CIA invention. Thats what Satoshi Nakamoto translates to from Japanese.

Hoestly I find it very amusing to imagine that the CIA invented bitcoin to track financial transactions and then just went and accidently defunded the entire state.
