I’m most concern with relay control, are “relays” the big feature there?
Relays are how our posts spread thru the network. if you experience censorship by relay operators then you can run your own and bypass the censorship. So far it's more user driven, by blocking a person, rather than the relay controlling content

You can pickwhayt relays you connect to, so ultimately you have full control of your experience

Everything felt laggy today. Snort especially, which believe it or not, has the closest UX to what I prefer (a constant feed of random replies / conversations to search through, interact with, jump in and out of) so was wondering how amethyst felt since I’ve never used it

It comes with time :) When I initially moved away from Twitter and Mastodon, I had the same feeling. Not everyone hugs the global feed (when I do it on Snort, my PC fans go brrrr xD) so being "discovered" is not that common. Just give it time, you'll be seen eventually. Unlike Twitter, there is no algorythmn that might recommend you to people - things are much more "organic" on Nostr in my experience.
No, I don't really care about being "discovered", more just if my follows are actually seeing what I post 😁😁

I feel like my engagement has gone way down here since the early days; I don't have a big following at all, but I used to get more replies and zaps than I do now.
Oh well.
But the big Bitcoiners and all the nostriches who I didn't know existed before nostr are great to follow, lots of great content here, and I love being able to zap mfers.

Never had a Twitter account but followed a bunch of people as a lurker. Their timelines have now become invisible to me. So Twitter forces me to be 100% nostr.🤙
Eventually, everyone starts to sense it. Then it’s over.
I’ve just started using #Plebstr app and it’s a way better experience on mobile. Desktop for now seems to be iris. Since using plebstr the experience has been far more enjoyable. As apps are released and peoples ideas spread and come to fruition the user experience will keep getting better. The development so far has been mind blowing!
