However, the same doesn’t happen when I post pictures with Olas from nostr:npub1l2vyh47mk2p0qlsku7hg0vn29faehy9hy34ygaclpn66ukqp3afqutajft Is there something I need to do on my end, or is this expected because it’s a new type of note?

You can see/configure on the Media Servers settings to which blossom server instance your media is being uploaded ;)
It uses a different server for uploads.
