Laws are laws. I'm not sure what the point is in chiding businesses for following the laws of countries in which they operate.

Some laws are regarded.

That does not mean they don’t exist

EU laws are lagarded

Many laws are stupid, even more are unnecessary, and some are simply mob crime hiding within “rule of law.” There are some good laws, of course, but not many.

Australia is great. I love it (not for its laws, of course).

Simple, oppression is oppression. Citizens should not be forced to identify themselves when they for example wish to talk about politics with each other and counter a government narrative. Its not like we give them flack because they decide to comply when they are forced to. We see it as the weakness that that poses and adopt tech thats resistant to it.
