Diversity = the condition of having or being composed of differing elements.
Equity = making everything the same

Well, it has been obvious for a long time that they only ever wanted superficial diversity so long as everyone was really the same. They'll call a black guy with a conservative thought an uncle tom at the drop of a hat. They just want multicolor NPCs.
they dont care. they just want people to talk and protest and demonstrate and organize about those things instead of picking up pitchforks and storming the castle.
