So what do you sell, or what services do you offer? #grownostr #meatingoftheminds

If you sell for #bitcoin on #nostr even better!

I’m in the local food game but there is such a tiny market here that I’m shifting course.

I shifted my farm to farm to consumer dealings into a not for profit and am now selling smoked salt blends and homestead goodies locally.

I’m starting online content creation in addition to my local workshops and courses.

We’ve built a production facility in town (kitchen/hydroponics) and I’m trying to convince other locals to start food gigs to expand our food system but turns out I’m weird and people still don’t see why it’s a necessary move. There’s no good margin to staff an operation and expand for me, it’s best suited to share among producers and run solo gigs.

Meetings are in the works so wish me luck that I get an organizational partner to help with kitchen overhead/exposure and can keep moving forward inspiring others to pick up food hustles.🀞🀞

That is awesome! We're doing a lot of similar stuff, I followed you back πŸ”₯

It’s been a hefty dash of irrational exuberance taking on business with young kids but so far I’m falling forward. I’ve heard you mentioned on #[4] too, looking forward to following you. #grownostr

Visual identity design, custom illustration, photography, and other forms of creative problem solving for emerging and established businesses.

That is badass! I dabble in digital branding and brainstorming, so that's very cool to me. Followed!

yup, worth a follow. Not something I dabble in at all.

Reach out if you ever want to chat! I always enjoy a good discussion about design

Very cool. I try to do stuff like this in my free time for personal projects. Im working on a farm logo at the moment. Following.

I do a number of small things, sell Buff Braham chickens, eggs too when there are to many, pork, meat birds (chicken and turkey), bee NUCs/colonies, mead when there is excess honey, and honey when I'm to lazy to make mead. A foal every 3 years or so.

What breed of bees do you sell and what region? My BF just bought some of the Saskatraz, but has tried Russians in the past. He's 3 years in and having trouble overwintering bees. We are in USDA zone 5b in the dry side of the midwest.

I’m in the wrong part of the world. Eastern Canada, exporting bees is too much trouble. Couple of things on over wintering. Is the hive being checked to see why they died? Big 3 where I am, maritime influenced 5A, are mite load, not enough food, and not enough bees.

I think this last time he said moisture got in and maybe cold with it? There is drought here, so I wouldn't be surprised if a lack of food was an issue too.

Moisture in the hive with cold is a killer for bees. When looking at a dead out, if there are a bunch of bees with their butts in the air and their heads in the comb, strong sign of starvation.

Now that is the question isn't it.

Still working on that.

You'll get there, but don't overthink it or dismiss what skills you have. Start small! If you sell anything, you are better off than most people these days.

I was going to take after one month on Nostr. Didn't happen. I think it would take one more month at least.

Perhaps I need to stop zapping as much...

I'm a programmer.

I can pull and parse data from various sources (databases, web services, file formats, sensors etc) and transform to information in report or visual form that is actionable or automate processes.

I also help people understand how stuff works, and guide through setting up assorted Bitcoin tools.

In both cases first steps are assessing what people have and understand what their ideas, wants and needs are.

I simultaneously envy your skills, but also know I wouldn't want that as a personal career path. Mad respect though, you guys make this digital world happen.

I am a wildlife biologist.

Personally, though, I am working on creating a mini poultry farm, selling some plant starts, and selling aprons and beaded earrings. I have an itch for creative projects. This is all local so far. I'm hoping to open an online store eventually.

That's great! If you have items you're willing to ship, post them here and lots of folks live the opportunity to hug from private parties with lightning. And you lose nothing trying. An online shop helps a ton, but just person to person sales based on a conversation here have actually worked well for me.

Thank you for that advice! I still need to set up the lighting and digital wallet stuff. It seems intimidating. But I'll keep y'all updated!

If you need a hand holler! I'll be cohosting the Lightning for Liberty podcast tonight before my show, and we cover a lot of stuff to do with getting the average person setup with Lightning and Nostr. I promise it's not as hard as you think, it's just a bit new and confusing.

Comfrey roots & salves, patches, rabbit foot keychains, freeze dried candy when we have it. More locally maple syrup and slowly getting back into writing and officiating wedding ceremonies. Also rabbit and chicken processing workshops.

But you do sell on Nostr and elsewhere online too, right? πŸ˜‰

Yes I meant to say that πŸ˜‚ here on nostr and on Etsy

I sell a little bit of my soul with every note I post. sometimes people zap me, sometimes not. πŸ˜†

real talk though, I'm a weaver and quilter so I want to sell those things for Bitcoin. Gotta get my ducks lined up before I can do that though.

πŸ˜‚ This made me laugh, but I also get it....

So what ducks need to line up? Ducks are so random, it's usually geese that walk single file. But seriously, if you have an item here or there just post about it! It does work good hashtags help. While an online shop is a great tool, you don't have to wait for everything to be perfect to do commerce πŸ˜‰

I'm living abroad temporarily so I'm very far away from my big floor loom and studio space where all my stuff is. I'll be back in a few months so that's when I can really kick it into gear.

Great! Following so I can't wait to see what you make ☺

thanks. I hope you'll like it!

I do one-on-one fully online based fitness/nutrition coaching at wkempfitness.com helping people improve their health, bodies, well-being and reach their fitness goals!

And of course I accept #Bitcoin !

Bees wax candles, balms, polishes and various plants as they become available. I'm still working out how to do it on nostr to help #grownostr .

Also I can only ship within the #UK at the moment, so shout out to my #uk Nostrichers πŸ‘πŸ»
