Why do I listen to entire albums when listening to #music?
Same reason I watch movies instead of #movie trailers. I like to get the whole story.
Who else out there still listens to entire albums? #asknostr

Same.
Wild guess -- you, like me, are over 40 years old

Yes! And without distracrions.
What are you listening to now?
When they’re good— absolutely.
A few that come to mind:
Wolfmother 1st Album
Red Hot Chilli Peppers - Californication
Pink Floyd Dark Side of the Moon
…. timed with the Wizard of Oz and an optional sprinkle of 🍄s 😃
This is all tee’d up but if you do it yourself you start the album with the 3rd lion roar at the start of the movie (and mute the movie).
The band members debunk this was intentional although the coincidences remarkable.
I do, but I also sometimes put my whole playlist on shuffle and let it rip 😄
I do, especially when it’s made as an album. A lot of artists, particularly younger ones, don’t seem to focus on albums anymore. They need to move the music fast, so it makes more sense to release 2–3 EPs a year rather than spend 2–3 years working on 12 tracks.
This is not a hate post—I listen to EPs and singles too, and I understand why they do it. But I still miss albums.
Yeah. I guess I am old school now. I only listen to artist that out out entire works tbat enjoy. Sometimes that can be a single song or an EP.
Flaming Lips's Soft Bulletin is a banger
I have heard good things about that band. Never listened. I'll check it out.
