Did anyone seriously think the FED was going to cut rates?
Discussion
Don't they typically do that after saying they aren't going to cut rates?
They only cut rates if they have too because they know that rate cuts = higher asset prices = more inflation.
Something breaks, they patch it up with lines of credit like the BTFP, Discount window, etc. if there’s enough contagion where those remedies don’t stoke the required confidence to stave off a deflationary spiral, they make money cheap and the well capitalized folks take on near-free debt to gobble up all the assets for cheap
noh
Many inflooooooncers did me thinks.
They’ll probably cut rates again once enough commoners are sidelined out of the market and strapped for fiat.
when they start cutting it will be all at once
Hahah nope
I thought they were going to make the rates do a kind of backflip on the chart. It would be pretty sick 🤘
You raise rates and then drop them again while you let time run backwards, then keep lowering them when you set time running forward again. It makes a little loop ⭕
If they're masters of the universe, they should at least be capable of such a simple manoeuvre as that. The fact that they can't is pretty much solid proof that Bitcoin will win.
Roll the bones.
They gotta do something. it's an election year.
not cutting until Europe cries "uncle". We can't be the central bank for trhe world
