Amazingly, any tissue the leaves were touching were no longer swollen. I’m now a believer. Tonight I’ll make a poultice like you say because I’ll be walking around the woods all weekend in a hunt. I need to turbo charge the healing.

Comfrey is a game changer, I put it on everything, eat a bit now and then too.

Allantoin is your friend 😉 its also potentially bacillus subtllus' friend which might explain why comfrey works as a soil improver,

I have it growing everywhere I think it is beautiful, but have never personally used it except for chop and drop. I wonder if it would help with wasp stings?

Yeah, it works amazing for wasp stings I was once stung on the hand in winter by a hibernating queen moving some woodchip mulch bags, I went back to the car immediately put some comfrey oil on it and by the time I went to pay and walk back to the vehicle the sting was gone. With previous wasp stings, without anything put on it it could take around 2 weeks for things to calm down, so well worth it if you ask me.

Thanks. I get stung every year. I’ll give it a go.

The earlier you get it on the better as I think oils etc help also wash the sting chemicals out but regardless the soothing effect of comfrey is remarkable

Do just blend the comfrey with say olive oil?

Yeah that can work, I mainly use lard now its cheaper and seems to absorbs faster into your skin.

I’ve got that too!
