So, let me explain. I have a strong background in the hospitality / catering industry. Knowing your customer(s) is not only expected but it's also good for your tips. Your customers appreciate if you remember them, their preferences and their taste for wines.

Outside of that, KYC is bad!

There's good KYC where you're just nice and sociable and want the best for your customers.

Then there's bad KYC where you just have a gun to your head by other people threatened by your business model.
