Do you also have a raw mainchain address secured by some kind of hardware address?

hardware wallet key signer airgapped bitcoin device whatever you want to call it.

Not only do I have that, but I also have this sandwich.

😅

That is hot storage, which is unsecure. Remember that.

Nice try, Fed.

I’m new to LN.

I’m using Phoenix successfully, but sometimes when deep linking from Damus, it will not connect to the LN node instantly… have to open the app and retry.

I think I’ll have to dig down the rabbit whole of running my own node… #ThisIsTheWay

💜 🤙 🫡

LOL I have a few of those. And also more nsec keepers than you can shake a stick at - which is not bad for just 10 days in #Nostr

I have.

The question is more:

Do I still need Phoenix?

I like phoenix, it’s self custodial and has a rlly good UX

I'm just wondering what to do with it, when I can swap-n-send from Relai to Zeus.

Does Phoenix add something? 🤔

Either is probably good. Phoenix uses a modified version of eclair afaik and Zeus uses LND. Phoenix has splicing support which is cool, spend a little less on fees when adding inbound. I prefer phoenix’s native UI and it feels faster. Phoenix supports background payments so you can close the app while someone pays your LN invoice

But really I think either is good. I can’t vouch for how Relai is doing their LN but it’ll probably either be custodial and not cool or perhaps with ondevice LDK and therefore infinitely more cool.

@relai it's custodial Lightning, right?

Absolutely not. We're 100% non-custodial

Slay guys, are you using LDK?

What’s the setup? Greenlight? Breez SDK?

Breeze SDK

is there any way to connect BTCPayServer? Really hunting for a non-custodial way to do lightning for merchants...

But you are using Blocksteeam green light right ? So it means the node is in the cloud correct ? And the keys to the node is on the device ? Is that a different key than the on chain wallet on the app ? Does it means the wallet doesn’t need to be online to receive ?

Thanks

We're using Breez SDK. Lightning keys are derived from the on-chan seed.

Keep in mind we just launched it, lot of improvement are yet to come 😉
