What does the NIP05 allow me to do?
One of the things is receiving lightning payments to that id (gotta set it up first)
just verification for now, much more in the future π€
Allows you to be easily identifiable with the ID rizzo@nostrplebs.com via search and gives you a human readable format for your public key.
We also now allow you to go to nostrplebs.com/manage and add a current Lighting network address to your ID as a forwarding address. All Lightning payments sent to rizzo@nostrplebs.com would then forward to your existing address. This allows you to have one ID for payment and identity. Pretty sweet!
We also now list your ID into our directory at nostrplebs.com/directory, allowing people to go there and search for your ID, copy it, and then come to their nostr client to follow you. If your ID doesn't show up yet, it should in about 10 minutes or the next time we crawl the network.
We have other services coming soon such as Relay access and Email for NIP-05 ID members.
Weird I see you as verified but I see your key instead of your user name
Hm. Now i'm lost
you're fine. clients are buggy and relays are laggy and all of that early stuff. i see your name all pretty with nostrplebs.com one moment, then i go to another thread and i don't see it the next. if i reload data it shows up fine.

On Damus it only shows the key
Derek, how did you link your tip address to BTC Pay Server?
Is there a guide?
Does Pay Server do LNURL, or email format addresses?
BTCPay server does Lightning addresses for payment. It's fairly easy. I just then used nginx for reverse proxy.
OK, I'm gonna google.
Without walking me through it here, I assume it is possible to utilise my nostrpleb.com account, and have that pointing to a BTCpayserver for my own node, rather than wallet of satoshi?

I donβt know much about nginx, I got it on my macbook for local development, but itβs more my partner stuff.
I donβt know if itβs interesting for you, he package a nginx version with more tools called NGINX MORE.
