I have always dreamed of owning a leica π but itβs not really the right camera for me. Hasselblad has always been my go to, or a Pentax, I need medium format. Nothing beats Porta for color film though πβ¨

Hell yeah man, you have fine taste! Medium format is the jam π I love shooting on Mamiya RZ67, Hassy and Pentax 6x7 ππ½ππ½ππ½ I guess I was in 35mm mood today π I love my Leica Q as a street camera, the 28mm fixed lens is so good. I know exactly what Iβm gonna frame before I even bring the camera to my eye and the focus is lightning fast β‘οΈ What kind of work do you make?
I started with street/landscape stuff mostly on medium format. Many years ago! But then worked as a travel photographer for about twelve years which meant switching to digital for 90% of that work. Now I only recently went back to the Hasselblad & Mamiya 6 shooting just for fun if I ever actually have the time to actually run some film through! Mamiya is kinda like a chunky MF leica brick π The hasselblad I use more for slower/contemplative landscape shots on tripod. For digital I still have a bunch of Fujifilm rangefinder/mirrorless kit, x100 series is kinda my poor manβs Q π
So cool man!! Would love to see some of your work! Yah can totally see how the Mamiya 6 is similar to a Leica, for me the rangefinder focus just slows me down for anything else than a nicely set up portrait π Iβm not so great at adjusting focus on the go in street scenes π΄π½ Iβve used the x100 a bunch, great camera! Speaking of Fuji, Iβve been using the GFX100 a bunch, canβt recommend it enough! Itβs been an amazing alternative to the more expensive other Medium Format digital.
