And it has regularly dropped messages for people, without giving an error message. That doesn't work at all.

It's improved a lot in recent releases

It happened to me in a major way just a 2-3 months ago.

I use it daily and don’t encounter such problems now. True, it used to be horrible, but now it’s quite decent. And better with every update.

You may not be experiencing defects, but others are.
