follow packs are great and all, but we're going to need some additional work done on them to stop them from being abused, both maliciously and centralization wise.

vibe code something with a better architecture :D

a simple fix might be to allow a rating system, comments, etc. though, that could eventually be gamed too, but it's a step in the right direction.

what i don't want to see is eventually follow packs from only certain people or even only certain follow packs to become the norm.

we need to think about all voices here.

truthfully, good architecture is not entirely vibe-able yet.

so not so simple, but incentives do matter.

Rating systems, content flags, and the ability to hide or remove yourself from a pack are important.

I don't know how removing yourself would work.

I don’t either.

i don't know if that's solvable to be honest, but i think that's fine. just like now, i can add anyone to any sort of list that i choose.

I can easily see how uncomfortable situations could arise from follow packs that wouldn't necessarily be ill-intended. It would be neat to see a concept like approved mentions eventually become a thing. I think users would appreciate it & use it. For all it's flaws, FB does have a few good things going for it. The ability to break references to yourself is one. I do see how that would create an awful lot of complications, too, though.
