You know what's totally crazy? A while ago, I had a volunteer who came to help me around the house and garden. I had a curtain I'd started sewing but still needed to finish it. I didn't have a sewing machine at the time, so I gave her a needle and thread. She stood there and asked me, "And now what? She seriously didn't know how to thread a needle!!! And she was 20 years old! It's pretty crazy when you don't learn such important things at home or at school anymore :(
Yeah it is. Life skills should be taught. Sad byproduct of the throwaway economy, I suppose.
