no. i am a bitcoiner. and bitcoin is mathematics. mathematics is an exact science. it does not tolerate uncertainty in those questions that require precision. if i make a conclusion, i must justify it. for example, if i say that many people were killed, i must say how many. of course, killing even one person is a tragedy. but you did not say exactly that. you said that people made a slight mistake in their calculations. that even 1/10 is a lot. so i, as a bitcoiner, asked myself: why a slight mistake, a slight mistake in relation to what number, and why did the arbitrary value 1/10 get into the reasoning?

Bitcoin, mathematics? Seriously? We’re talking about human lives lost. Innocent lives. Families erased, homes ruined. This ain’t about statistics. Be it 30k or 300k, what does it matter? It’s equally horrendous. Not everything has to be about Bitcoin. Sometimes it’s just about your moral compass, and that isn’t an exact science.

I completely agree with you. But you didn't answer my question: Why did you decide that the calculation error was insignificant? I think you made a premature conclusion. In order to talk about a big or small error, you need to know two quantities: the erroneous number and the real number. The difference between these numbers is what we qualify as significant or insignificant. We know the erroneous number, but we don't know the real number. Without the real number, we can't calculate the difference and, therefore, can't conclude how big our mistake was. Until we can objectively make a conclusion, any judgment we make on this matter will be premature. Do you understand me?
