I want to collect a list of npubs curated for a specific friend of mine and then send that friend an invite link to a nostr app which pre-populates their follow list with the npubs I hand picked for them.

Is there a way to do this nostr:npub16c0nh3dnadzqpm76uctf5hqhe2lny344zsmpm6feee9p5rdxaa9q586nvr nostr:npub1dergggklka99wwrs92yz8wdjs952h2ux2ha2ed598ngwu9w7a6fsh9xzpc nostr:npub1xtscya34g58tk0z605fvr788k263gsu6cy9x0mhnm87echrgufzsevkk5s nostr:npub1qny3tkh0acurzla8x3zy4nhrjz5zd8l9sy9jys09umwng00manysew95gx nostr:npub180cvv07tjdrrgpa0j7j7tmnyl2yr6yr7l8j4s3evf6u64th6gkwsyjh6w6 ? #asknostr

It would also be pretty cool to be able to designate a few npubs as “guides” for the new nostrich.

If I were to be selected as a guide for someone else I would want to be able turn on notifications which alert me to when the new nostrich notes something so I can engage with them.

Seems like there’s a lot of untapped potential in using the web of trust to onboard and purple pill friends of friends.

Jump starting the day 1 user experience is how we accelerate

Many people have had variants of these ideas, but it takes code to implement and no one has done it in a compelling way so far.

I feel like something like https://nosta.me/ could do that. Perform the onboarding flow and then guide the user to a new client.

What do you think, nostr:npub10000003zmk89narqpczy4ff6rnuht2wu05na7kpnh3mak7z2tqzsv8vwqk?

Coracle already offers this possibility, and it works well:

But I agree that something like nosta.me, with a good onboarding wizard, could be the ideal path: as soon the metadata, the contact lists and NIP-65 relays set have been broadcasted, the user is immediately free to test more clients (even if only in read mode) and have get a taste of the great interoperability of Nostr.

yea that would be cool to get a new user to try several disparate clients right away. the curated list of follows is super useful to crafting a compelling first impression for someone you know well.
