the most annoying part about this is i was so happy last night. here is the announcement note i typed up for this project then. i only wanted to fix one small error this morning. however, now my app is so far gone and so far fucked, it's not worth spending more time and money on it. ill say this is a $600 lesson. im not a developer. i tried. i failed. i should have made commits last night and i should have been doing this all along when i had the app in a good working manner before adding to it. that's my fault again. (p.s. i the junior developer comment is gold.)

Here's my #vibecoding client that I spent way too much money on building, however it was a fun learning experience. And in all honesty, using AI as a junior developer is much cheaper than paying to have this application created by a human.

The good part about this experience is that you know better now what you want your app to do, and how to describe. You may even be able to salvage a bit of application architecture to get started … when you want to take to the next step.

$600 well spent

it's been nuked sir. full scorched earth. no temptations here.

I’m so sorry to hear this Derek. Coding is literally the hardest thing on earth, I get so frustrated when I try to make a change and it breaks everything 😓

You’re not alone, I hope you can get it working or have peace about setting it down

appreciate that. ill let developers do the developing.

I hear you there; I personally run local AI models to vibe code with, not super smart or helpful sometimes; but I least I burn my own GPU instead of someone elses

git has always been a net positive in any workflow

I kept telling myself I should be doing this but I did not. I knew I should. I even made my repo.

I don’t know why more people don’t use v0. Unlimited projects. Unlimited prompts. $20/mo.

i tried it. it was bad compared to gemini 2.5 pro.

It can be bad but can also make things work. It’s hit or miss and you can’t tell unless you give it a long spin and figure out it’s strengths and weaknesses

I learned this lesson as well and quickly installed the GitHub plugin in visual code.... Really does help.
