Swapping over to Linux may be good, but comes with user experience caveats like having to update packages and "coding" in the command prompt.
Libre office is a great alternative to Office.
My biggest reason for not switching is because I play games and they don't run great on Linux, even in 2026.
My last attempt to switch to Linux was in 2020, I had it for one day and discovered during a timed job application test that some of the syntax and coding language for R and Python varies enough that I failed the test. I cried until my man reinstalled Windows for me 😅
But I'm a big girl I can do this myself. Especially with time to process and digest the change.
