Hypothetical: if I stack hard enough to get to a position where I can feasibly supplement my lifestyle by living off of periodic sales (I know I know hodl yada yada it's a hypothetical).

Would that count as income that needs to be reported if you have an apartment that requires a lower income because it's designated as affordable housing?

that is very dependent on your jurisdiction

as well as how much daring you have to not tell people who have no business asking you how much money you have

i fled australia 13 years ago to get away from the spanish inquisition, it was impossible to get off the ground floor, i couldn't get any job better than cleaning or data entry because of how bullshit the whole economic manipulation there is and i arrived in bulgaria in march 2013 and when i needed a job, i had one in under 2 weeks, as a call center operator, a job that i was unable to get a word in edgewise back in australia, though i had friends who had managed it

so, yeah, you probably live in some shithole former british/french socialist colony of shit, is my guess, or maybe the current colony of shit, or one of its outlying districts like the canary islands

point is

don't pay, don't file, and if you can't get a job, and you can land-border cross to a better place, go there

i understand you have history working in government departments and have some kind of papers for being a bean counter that probably won't help you much but maybe it would some arbitrary line on the ground beyond the space you now occupy

Thank you for your thoughtful response!

I have changed a lot in the past six months or so and have suddenly become a Nostr and Bitcoin maximalist. I see a lot of problems within society that I feel we are able to address, even if sometimes it seems like people aren't willing.

But honestly I am still very optimistic because I know I'm doing the work to improve myself and any community I live in and I know I'm not all that special so surely there are plenty of others doing the same. I don't want to leave society.

But hey, maybe I just have more learning to do and that'll seem reasonable to do at a different stage in my life!

yeah, there is a lot of poker face in these games

best to keep your cards against your chest, don't give away anything you don't have to, common law still applies, you can never be compelled to incriminate yourself, no matter where you live, no matter what fake laws they make, this is fundamental

if they can't see it, and can't read it, then don't give it to them
