The government will bail me out. It’s okay.
I actually see why they think this way.
I’ve met several in my line of work that have had a ton of debt forgiven.
I’m happy for them, but personally just worked my ass off to pay down/off debt instead of living in financial purgatory for a decade or so.
The shock when they realize that, at some point, there will be no more bailouts…

Yes, I know what you mean. Some teachers I know double dipped in COVID relief while still teaching from home. Our government here has basically said it’s too hard to get the money back. Billions wasted on people who didn’t lose their jobs. Disgraceful.
