They are fundamentally flawed. It can’t be just anyone issuing anything. They have to come from limited issuers and be broadly available to everyone.

Agreed. As it stands right now it's a free for all and I've seen some pretty crazy ones like 'proof of steak' which was funny, but ultimately a throw away.
