Does this mean you have given him a token that he can only redeem using his private key as a description key or something?

right now only he can decrypt the message containing the e-cash token with his private key. If I would post the token publicly anyone could take it. With P2SH only he could redeem the token even if it was posted pubicly, but that's not implemented yet (s/o @calle)
I think that what it does is send sats directly to a nostr protocol **pub key**🙌🏻🤩
