seems like most of the games I loved as a kid are now forcing users to install kernel-level software to play:
"kernel level AC is going to be the norm for competitive online games moving forward"
guess I have to stop giving money to these companies then. that's a shame.

I've seen it, and hate it. I try and avoid playing games that require those to be installed :(
Apparently for the new call of duty (I hope I'm not mistaken but I'm not certain) the anti-cheat will require secure boot, meaning some Linux distros will be excluded from dual boot
