I'm genuinely wondering, what is best: read/write to lots of relays, or only to a small subset? I saw amethyst advises to write to 4ish relays but I'd like to ask for more advices πŸ€”

Let's spread the words ! Do we have a place to check the number of active users?

GN Nostr ! Looking forward to starting to play around with my cloudstr idea tomorrow !

I'm considering switching to a different lightning or event #cashu wallet, so I can finally send zaps (currently using wallet of Satoshi, which doesn't allow it). Is anyone using wallet.cashu.me? Is it any good? Also, do you have any advice on mint servers to use? I'm completely new to cashu and haven't read the documentation yet so I'm not sure what those are πŸ€”

It truly is ! I can't explain it but I like the feeling of accessing a hidden part of the internet :D

Good Evening Nostr, posting on wss://wotr.relatr.xyz to test nostr:nprofile1qqsxkduqau5h9eeaxu9cfgl9rea2nt35haqjjwxul0vuta3myg2pdjqpz4mhxue69uhhyetvv9ujuerpd46hxtnfduhsz9thwden5te0wfjkccte9ehx7um5wghxuet5xf4pe0's wot relay !

Jus thought of an applicationI might explore one day:

A personal drive over nostr and blossom, potentially encrypted. The idea would be to split the various files across multiple blossom servers (using replication to mitigate damages when some servers go down). Splitting the files would allow to reduce stress over the various blossom servers if a large file needs to be downloaded, and also reduce risk of hitting upload limits. Additionally, the files could be encrypted to prevent unauthorized access.

The files metadata would then be stored in an event on Nostr. Not sure yet what kind of event I would choose to describe the various files (Do we want versioning? Then a replaceable kind might be interesting). Files metadata would include name translation (from actual filename to blossom filenames), fragments locations, size, full file hash (to check reconstruction after defragmentation) and maybe others, not sure yet what would be necessary πŸ€”

What do you think :D ?

Already subscribed to mullvad, and I will try not to stop the VPN for as long as practical πŸ’ͺ. Target country so far is Argentina. It was kind of a blind guess so any other idea is good to take.

Does anyone know how I can send zaps on primal android using Wallet of Satoshi if possible ?

I remember taking part in a CTF this year, one of my friend asked ChatGPT to solve the task. We had a python file with a crypto algo, and he asked ChatGPT to find a logic error in the code. It did and wrote code to exploit it and recover the flag. We were the only team to have solved this task πŸ˜‚

Let's say government do it and actually require id for all of the internet traffic, what can we still do?

Do you think wa could have nostr relays open on the tor network?

Would it actually be a problem for nostr or are we safe somehow? (I wouldn't expect us to be if they can map the traffic of a key to a person but I might not be as knowledgeable as others here πŸ€”)

I've seen it, and hate it. I try and avoid playing games that require those to be installed :(

Apparently for the new call of duty (I hope I'm not mistaken but I'm not certain) the anti-cheat will require secure boot, meaning some Linux distros will be excluded from dual boot

Hellow nostr, I joined recently after all the shitshow regarding online identity verifications.

I discovered this tech last year, though I never really posted anything, but I thought I'd give it a go, so I created this account !

I love aviation, as well as tech in the broader scope !

Nice to meet you everyone, looking forward to interesting discussion with y'all !
