Oof. I accidentally vibe coded myself into a $300+ bill. I did not know it would be that expensive. The app works well though π It's about 85% done. I need to add NWC and zaps and then I'll deploy it.

Just make the app have subscriptions. If the app is good, people will pay
It's not that good...yet.
What have you done? π¬
Well I learned how API spending thresholds work. You can setup a threshold for when you hit the certain price but it doesn't stop you from spending. So you end up getting 50% to threshold, 100% at threshold, 150%, 200% etc. emails. And if you're not looking at your phone, you don't know π₯Ή I was assuming I'd hit my $50 threshold and it would stop working. Nope. π
This is why you should be able to pay with Lightning (NWC) and set a fixed budget, otherwise only use a prepaid debit card that you have to manually reload.
ppq.ai but not sure it works with cline
Prepaid cards (or virtual numbers if privacy isn't a concern) are how I've been budgeting subscriptions for a while. A virtual card set to a $1 limit and 2-month expiry lets me sign up for trials etc. & never pay.
good flex
AWS?
Claude?
This is why I switched to v0. Flat bill, no query limits. My open router + cline bill was getting ridiculous
Uffa π curious to see what you've made!
Whatβs your AI tool of choice for vibe coding. Havenβt gotten into it yet so I feel like Iβm behind
π€£π€£π€£πππ.
Itβs still better to know what youβre doing!
