I always though the Fed would just buy Circle out. Super easy.

I believe Saylor said that on the Impact Theory podcast just yesterday.

Thank you for the podcast tip

Almost everyone

Yes. Michael Saylor has been saying that.

Ah okay 😂

Obv.

Cantor has taken a stake. CEO is in the new cabinet.

Can you explain? Wouldn’t it make more sense to the government to build on its own blockchain? They would control most of the nodes and trust themselves to back the currency rather than someone else.

Government doesn't build when it can nationalize.

Maybe so

Haha, no. They don't need or want blockchains. Govs fight decentralisation

Yeah I don’t doubt that whatever cryptocurrency they create one day would be centralized, I just don’t know why they would use tether instead of making their own.

Because it's tried tested, has billions already in markets hare, is already used widely in areas people used cash dollars, has a load of wallets infrastructure that already exists

(and they can control it)

yeah good point

first rule of western neoliberalism… why build what you can steal?

PROMIS software for example.

Naturally. Paper fiat is also a colab/capture of already existing private solution.
