How do y’all get to 100 pushups at once

More pushups i’m sure but how do y’all get over DOMS. Or it is just more pushups and adaptability?

I do diamond pushups. 20 in the morning, and then 25-50 more towards the later evening before bed. Some days I swim in the river (today)

I've never been able to do 100 full ROM pushups.

My hunch is it lies somewhere between doing them slowly & swiftly & holding yourself up in pushup positions both at the top middle and bottom - re isometric hold.

Consistency really. I've gone from doing 10 to 50 in a row now. Takes a lot of time
