We all on razor’s edge of confidence re: our money in their bank…#Bitcoin gives us a solution 🤙
Tf…
This is atrocious. I expect similar reactions in other developing countries, but sadly I don't think this will happen in "1st" world countries. We are well too accustomed to being comfortable and going cashless will be seen as a comfort and a tool to fight evasion, rather than a tool for oppression. We'd be fucked if it wasn't for bitcoin.

Wow
This will become common around the world
Looks like they did a 60 day extension. Maybe everyone will wait 60 days to run on the banks 😂
when money die..

Feeling really sorry for these guys. Let's hope they start now protecting their wealth in Bitcoin, so they never have to experience this again.
FIAT money is a fraud!
I saw this. So sad!!
#Bitcoin
We’re keeping an eye on Nigeria.

“declared”…
That’s a serious rug pull
When FIAT money breaks, people will revolt.
Soon world wide 💔
This is the pilot they are currently runing. Just the first test on a large scale...
The rug pull of all rug pulls
how in the word do you make a cashless economy more inclusive, unless you use bitcoin?
Devastating.
“The CBN said it redesigned the higher denomination notes - 200, 500 and 1,000 naira - to replace the dirty cash in circulation, tackle inflation, curb counterfeiting and promote a cashless society.
Nigerians were told last October about the change and were encouraged to deposit any cash savings in the bank.
But not enough of the new notes have been released in a country where cash is still widely used. An estimated 40% of the population do not have access to bank accounts.”

Ouch
@Jack keeps directing us to Twitter 😉
Will soon happen in our countries 🤢
#Bitcoin

This is the kind of thing governments do to unarmed populations.
❤️
Financial contagion will spread. Revolts will occur more often and in more places. Prepare for it at your doorstep. Buy Bitcoin and Stack Sats.

This is real ❤️🩹
This is terrible and so damn sad.
Not really a geopolitical racist notion to revolt against government corruption, but let’s not discuss how hot Shelly “Chair” Khan is when the government takes liberties without being able to disprove technologies it doesn’t understand.
Getting super real in Nigeria 🇳🇬 How easy is it for Nigerians to buy and hold Bitcoin right now? I’ve got to think that entrepreneurs across Africa and the world are looking at this obvious problem to be solved, and building products for the people 🌍

Are they fully on CBDCs now?
Yikes! Watch out for the CBDCs
This is a political move rather than monetary. The current civilian president was also the military head of state in 1983/4. He pulled the exact same move to stop "corruption". In this case, people close to him say he is try to stop politicians buying votes in the elections that's days away.
