Sunscreen is a shitcoin. I started last year going without it, and continue this into this year. It takes some discipline and work to moderate, but building up sun tolerance is possible without smearing chemical goop all over your skin. β˜€οΈ

I'm with u on this one. I cut out the sunglasses too

I still maintain the sunglasses, but only to look cool πŸ˜ŽπŸ˜…

That is the same reason I use sunscreen!

So you reduce your chances of skin cancer…

By increasing your chances of skin cancer. https://nostr.build/i/00451bf3af279eb5c3743bc37f37b1e852afd2e5421678eb27f142769ce76db6.webp

Exactly!

I haven't used sunscreen for a year now. Used to use them daily, even in winter, cuz you know what they say "even on cloudy days, the rays are still damaging through the clouds. Even if you can't see them."

But I was just thinking about this yesterday: what about the aging it brings??? I don't know for sure my fine lines were brought on by not using sunscreens or I just never noticed them before or just not moisturized enough????? But I mean cheek fine lines?

I don’t know the right answer, but moderation seems to be the appropriate approach to most things.

Interesting. In the book I recently listened to by David Sinclair "Lifespan" UV is always there to get ya. 10 minutes a day is sufficient and more will eventually kill ya. Im shooting for living healthfully as long as I can which means thinking twice before hitting the outside. I also dont sit under the UV lamp at my work for what it matters πŸ˜‚. I got a sweet sun hat and try to wear long sleeves when I can πŸ€” but it doesnt trump looking cool usually πŸ˜” https://shapeflexer.com/

My approach, in moderation. Depends on exposure time, time of day and type of skin.
