Interesting. SQL might have been invented a long time ago but it’s pretty mainstream today.
In my own estimation, about 80% of software projects use SQL, and the rest is divided between NoSQL and other exotic datastores that don’t conform to either.

i actually am just starting to learn nosql/mongo and it’s already starting to make more sense to me. i guess that means my brain is pretty chaotic haha.
Learning to use document oriented databases & #NoSQL felt like a huge liberation to me.
Recently, I got into #Redis, as well & it just makes so much sense, while #SQL always seemed like this alien way of thinking, you have to bash your brain first, to understand the point.
i have never heard of redis but i will 100% look into it.
That's because of optimisation & using the most common API, not because it's so great.
If databases weren't all about optimisation, nobody would ever use raw #SQL, especially without some ORM.
