Holy shit, is Adobe insane?

Read this content license agreement. It looks as if they are assuming the rights to any work created using their software.

Basically anything ya use now a days...🤷

We need decentralized content creation tools built on #Nostr, like yesterday.

Would you settle for plugins for Blender, Gimp, etc... that use a nostr identity to upload and share over nostr.build?

I don’t know if I’d settle, but it might be a starting point. I don’t even know what all the tools are that I’d need yet.

It's a loooong way off. The beauty of Adobe is getting to move projects from one app to another. Cause of their walled garden ecosystem. Any open source solution is going to have to start off piecemeal since blender, gimp, kedenlive, Libre office, et al primary rely on local storage, and use their own file extensions. Itd be a huge enterprise to get them all on the same page using nostr and cloud storage, But i suppose it is possible.

Build Nostr into Linux tools?

This is the way

"You will own nothing..."

Honestly though, they don't let you own the software so why should they let you own anything you create with it?

That’s definitely their argument.

So we gotta only use software we own. As in, the source code.

Lol this is awful

Adobe gives themselves a worldwide license to publish and create derivative works from 'your' content

And sublicense those derivative works

With no constraints

They try to justify this with a service provision use case

Which absolutely does not need an unrestrictive license

What service os this for? The first paragraph talks about censoring content uploaded to "the service". Like a social media sort of service.

Also the highlighted part sounds like a social media service telling you that they will use the content you upload to

"improve the service", namely to train their algorithm or an AI.

Read 4.3

All this license are garbage... nobody read it... you can write rules, but if anyone one get a shit about it... are rules? I remember when Mikko Hyppönen talk about licenses, they write something like "Your first born child will be ours" and people accept that hahaha, it was a good prank.

Every time you can... use Free Software, no to comfortable? ... it's the price/pow.

Yup. And all Google products’ TOS have been like this for at least a decade.

Makes sense.

Yep. Also they wanna no doubt train their AI models on everyone’s work.

They were smoking Adoobe when they came up with that. 😂

Is this because of firefly and generative ai?
