Just download Bitcoin Core on their computer, if they have enough storage you can go full, if not pruned.
Then set them up with whichever wallet you think will work for them...specter, sparrow, etc..

So I run a prune node.. to secure it I don't have but 40k sats on it because I'm not sure how to secure incase someone stumbles into my computer lol I did the encrypted password thing and that it I haven't even connected any outside wallet but I need it to be explained like a 5 year old π
And I woukd like to connect bluewallet to my prune node
Why?
You'll need to setup an electrum server.
Sparrow>99% of wallets and it's easy to connect to core.
