Yeah. It's not even worth posting about Nostr over there.
"If you don't believe me or don't get it, I don't have time to try to convince you, sorry."
Exactly
90% of me visiting X is to see the trending page.
Get the X trending page here and I won’t open the app.
I think Primal has something similar
nostr:npub12vkcxr0luzwp8e673v29eqjhrr7p9vqq8asav85swaepclllj09sylpugg has some trending creatures but they are mostly focus on trending posts and trending people.
I like seeing trending hashtags in ranked order.
X Trending for me is like a news aggregator. The. If I see something interesting I go searching.
It’s been hard for me, for stupid reasons. I like the UI.
Just got suspended from X so no time like the present to cut the cord so to speak.
Fuck X, long live NOSTR
Agreed with the sentiment. But the unironic answer to your question is that the algo like all social media algos is intentionally designed to be addictive.
Right. But pretty much everyone on this side of the internet understands this very well and continues to let it control their life.
Meanwhile they’ll do ridiculous things like live completely on bitcoin even though playing fiat games is also highly addictive.
I've not seen any Twitter drama on my timeline, maybe time to curate and prune?
I deleted Twitter of my phone, jumped on there on my PC today and oh my the negative energy was so noticeable.
Fuck Twitter.
Agreed!
I am a new pleb around and was kind of skeptic. Love the self sovereign principles (still have to make my homework about the protocols) but have received more help than ever could have expected at Twitter being just a newcomer. Loving the freedom, hope it goes beyond a “tribal” thing and gets more widely used. Doing my part!
This is the way.
I lurk there for CT signals and to bring content over here.
That's more or less why I'm holding onto my account. Funnel people over here.
Still a lot of network effect
friendster and myspace for the win
