I think It’s more an idea than it is an action … same as marriage .. those state signed certificates don’t mean a thing.
What would constitute adultery in your estimation? What would constitute a marriage?
A marriage is the idea of how two people treat each other in relationship, adultery is more like a subset of lieing that would be the result of having intimacy with someone that your
Marriage had agreed not to, and it’s smart for a marriage to agree on this if it wants the blessings of many things… adultery makes a liar of someone but also introduces health risks (consequences), the longer the lie goes on the worse the damage to a marriage can be done.
Deuteronomy 22:22: "If a man be found lying with a woman married to a husband, then they shall both of them die, both the man that lay with the woman, and the woman: so shalt thou put away evil from Israel."
Leviticus 20:10: "And the man that committeth adultery with another man's wife, even he that committeth adultery with his neighbor's wife, the adulterer and the adulteress shall surely be put to death."
Great to see your notes in my feed again. Relay strategy needs to be a thing.
All our physical realities are rooted in, or based on, some greater spiritual reality.
Male and female United in marriage.
Deviation from that.
God speaks of marriage more in spiritual terms, the relationship with his people, and how they betray him. Spiritual adultery. Seeing another god on the side, one that doesn't expect comment or devotion, and plays along with your fantasy.
You get the idea.
Mark 10:11–12 - 11 And He *said to them, “Whoever divorces his wife and marries another woman commits adultery against her;
12 and if she herself divorces her husband and marries another man, she is committing adultery.”
Here's one that is not yet I'm the mix.
Romans 7:2-3 For a married woman is bound by law to her husband while he lives, but if her husband dies she is released from the law of marriage. Accordingly, she will be called an adulteress if she lives with another man while her husband is alive. But if her husband dies, she is free from that law, and if she marries another man she is not an adulteress.
Adultery is only possible if a married woman is involved. It is impossible for an unmarried woman to commit adultery.
Adultery:
Married man + married woman (not his)
Unmarried man + married woman
Not adultery:
Married man + unmarried woman
Unmarried man + unmarried woman
(sorry, running low on sats)
Any scripture to support your points about unmarried women?
Seems to say something about divorce not ending a marriage, given that those who remarry commit adultery.
